Ray L. Huntingdon was a professor of ancient scripture at Brigham Young University when this was written. He received his PhD in the sociology of the Middle East. He has done extensive research on the West Bank and Gaza Palestinian families. Huntington has taught at the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies on three separate occasions and has traveled throughout the Middle East. His second area of study is the history of the English Bible, dealing specifically with sixteenth- and seventeenth-century England.
