The keynote speaker will be Elder Richard G. Hinckley, Emeritus General Authority Seventy. Additional speakers are Gaye Strathearn, associate dean of Religious Education at BYU, and Mark D. Ellison, associate professor of ancient scripture at BYU.


2022

"The Power of Christ's Deliverance"

The keynote speaker will be Virginia Pearce Cowley, author and former member of the Young Women General Presidency. Additional speakers are John Hilton III, associate professor of ancient scripture at BYU, and Jan Martin, assistant professor of ancient scripture at BYU.


2021

Keynote speaker for the conference will be Marie K. Hafen. Sister Hafen has taught classes in Shakespeare, writing, and Book of Mormon at BYU–Idaho, the University of Utah, and BYU. She has been a contributing author to several books, including, with her husband, Faith is Not Blind (2018) and The Contrite Spirit: How the Temple Helps Us Apply Christ’s Atonement (2015). She has served on the Young Women General Board, on the Deseret News board of directors, and as matron of the St. George Utah Temple.

Additional speakers are Tyler J. Griffin, associate teaching professor of ancient scripture at BYU, and Jennifer Reeder, historian and nineteenth-century women's history specialist at the Church History Department for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.


2020

This conference was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The keynote speaker will be Virginia Pearce Cowley, author and former member of the Young Women General Presidency. Additional speakers are Tyler J. Griffin, associate teaching professor of ancient scripture at BYU, and Jennifer Reeder, historian and nineteenth-century women's history specialist at the Church History Department for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Conference parking: Attendees can park before 4 p.m. at the visitor parking lots for the Museum of Art or the J. Reuben Clark Law School. After 4 p.m., parking is available at the Life Science Building and other BYU lots south of campus.


2019

The 2019 Easter Conference was held Friday, 12 April 2019, in the Joseph Smith Building (JSB) auditorium on BYU campus at 7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker was Elder Bruce C. Hafen, Emeritus General Authority Seventy. The other two speakers were Richard Lyman Bushman, Gouverneur Morris Professor of History Emeritus of Columbia University, and Barbara Morgan Gardner, associate professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University. Each spoke about various aspects of the Savior, his life, his mission, his Atonement, and his influence on our lives today.


2018

The 2018 Easter Conference was held Friday, 23 March 2018, in the Joseph Smith Building (JSB) auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker was Sister Susan W. Tanner, former Young Women General President. The other two speakers were Thomas A. Wayment, publications director of the Religious Studies Center, and Anthony Sweat, assistant professor of Church history and doctrine. Each spoke about various aspects of the Savior, his life, his mission, his Atonement, and his influence on our lives today.


2017

The BYU Easter Conference was held on Good Friday, April 14, in the Joseph Smith Building (JSB) auditorium on the BYU campus at 7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker was President Kevin J Worthen, president of Brigham Young University. The other two speakers were Camille Fronk Olson, chair of the Department of Ancient Scripture at BYU, and Hank Smith, assistant professor of ancient scripture. Each speaker talked about various aspects of the Savior, his life, his mission, the Atonement, and his influence on our lives today. There was also inspirational music that enhanced the evening. The book from the 2016 and 2017 conferences was available at the conference. The conference was open to the public and FREE of charge.


2016

The keynote speaker this year will be Sheri L. Dew. Other speakers include Daniel K Judd and Eric D. Huntsman. The three speakers will talk about the Savior and his influence in our lives today. No charge for admission.


2015

BYU’s 2015 Easter Conference was held March 27, at 7 p.m. in the Joseph Smith Building (JSB) auditorium on BYU campus. Elder Spencer J. Condie, emeritus member of the Seventy, was the keynote speaker. Other speakers were Matthew O. Richardson, advancement vice president at BYU, and Jennifer Brinkerhoff Platt, visiting professor of ancient scripture at BYU. Each spoke about certain aspects of the Savior, his life, his mission, the Atonement, and his influence in our lives today.


2014

The BYU Easter Conference was held in the evening of Friday, April 11, in the JSB auditorium. There was an estimated crowd of 1,400 people who came to hear the three speakers. The keynote speaker was Sister Elaine S. Dalton, a former Young Women general president of the Church; Lloyd D. Newell, who is known to many as the voice of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Music and the Spoken Word and a professor of Church history and doctrine at BYU; and D. Kelly Ogden, distinguished author, speaker, and BYU professor.


2013

The Lord's Day

Elder John M. Madsen was the keynote speaker. Brad Wilcox and Brent L. Top also spoke. The two accompanying speakers were both professors at BYU, both were former mission presidents, and both had authored books about the Savior. All the speakers talked about the Savior, his life, his mission, the Atonement, and his influence in our lives today.


2012

With Healing in His Wings

The BYU Easter Conference was held Saturday, April 7, in the JSB auditorium. The keynote speaker was Gary J. Coleman. Other speakers included Andrew C. Skinner and Gaye Strathearn.


2011

The BYU Easter Conference was held Saturday, April 9, in the JSB auditorium. The keynote speaker was Elder John H. Groberg. Other speakers included Sandra Rogers, International Vice President at BYU, and Charles Swift, Associate Professor of Ancient Scripture at BYU.


2010

Remembering Christ and His Sacrifices

This year’s conference featured keynote speaker Elder Gerald N. Lund, an emeritus member of the Seventy; Robert L. Millet, former dean of Religious Education; and Daniel L. Belnap, assistant professor of ancient scripture. They talked about the Savior, His life, His mission, the Atonement, and His influence in lives today.


2009

To Save the Lost

The BYU Easter Conference was held Saturday, April 11, in the JSB auditorium. The keynote speaker was Bonnie D. Parkin, Former General Relief Society President. Other speakers included Kent P. Jackson, Associate Dean of Religious Education, and Lynne Hilton Wilson, PhD Candidate in Theology at Marquette University.


2008

Come unto Me

The BYU Easter Conference was held Saturday, March 22, in the JSB auditorium. The keynote speaker was President Merrill J. Bateman, Emeritus Seventy and Provo Utah Temple President. Other speakers included Camille Fronk Olson, Associate Professor of Ancient Scripture at BYU, and Gaye Strathearn, S. Kent Brown, Professor of Ancient Scripture at BYU.


2007

Behold the Lamb of God

The BYU Easter Conference was held Saturday, April 7, in the JSB auditorium. The keynote speaker was Elder F. Enzio Busche, Emeritus Quorum of the Seventy. Other speakers included Dawn Pheysey, Herman DoToit, S. Kent Brown, Richard Neitzel Holzapfel, Jeffrey R. Chadwick, Kent P. Jackson, Frank F. Judd, and Thomas A. Wayment.


2006

Celebrating Easter

The 2006 BYU Easter Conference was held April 15, 2006 on the BYU campus. Speakers for the conference included Cecil O. Samuelson, John S. Tanner, Terry B. Ball, Russell C. Rasmussen, Dana M. Pike, Eric D. Huntsman, Frank F. Judd, Jennifer C. Lane, John W. Welch, Richard E. Bennett, Keith J. Wilson, and Rick B. Jorgensen.


2005

Conference logo

The featured speaker was Elder D. Todd Christofferson, a member of the Presidency of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Accompanying speakers included Dean Andrew C. Skinner and Associate Dean Richard D. Draper of BYU Religious Education, and Richard N. Holzapfel, Eric D. Huntsman, Thomas A. Wayment and Gaye Strathearn. Conference topics included the birth of Christ, the wilderness experience, the calling of the Twelve, early Galilean ministries, the Sermon on the Mount and Jesus and the Samaritan woman.
