Richard Turley is an American historian and genealogist and the Assistant Church Historian of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He received a BA in English from BYU and graduated from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School. There, he was editor of the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
He and his wife, Shirley, have six children.
