Kathleen L. Ward was a professor of literature and cultural studies and taught, researched, and wrote about women and African American literature and culture. She also directed the University Honors Program. Dr. Ward earned her BA in English from Brigham Young University in Provo and her MA and PhD degrees in American studies from the University of Hawai’i.
