Carma T. Prete received her BA in history at Brigham Young University in 1968. Since then, she has engaged in researching, writing, and editing materials on Latter-day Saint history in eastern Ontario. She was an associate editor of Zion Shall Come Forth: A History of the Ottawa Ontario Stake (1995), for which she researched and wrote three chapters. She is the author of “We do not doubt our mothers knew it”: Latter-day Saint pioneers in the Shannon View Saskatchewan Area, 1905-1969 (2016). As a Church History missionary in Salt Lake City, Utah, 2013-2016, she did extensive research on the history of the LDS Church in Canada. She has served in numerous Church callings, four times as Primary president and twice as Relief Society president, and worked in Public Affairs. She is the mother of six children and grandmother of twenty-four.
