Elder Khumbulani D. Mdletshe was a member of the Third Quorum of the Seventy and the director at the Roodepoort South Africa Institute of Religion when this was written. Born in Durban South Africa, Elder Mdletshe currently resides in Gauteng, South Africa. Elder Mdletshe has overseen the implementation of religious education in twenty-seven countries on the African continent. With an extensive education Elder Mdletshe was the first Black South African to graduate with a masters degree from Brigham Young University, and was the founding member of the Africa Student Club at Brigham Young University.
