Mr. Grow:

In reply to yours of the 28th, I am sending you a coppy of Father’s history, also his card. I had this coppy maid. It is his record as you will see. You will see that Henry Grow was the architect. I never herd that Folsom was architect except of the block.

There was no plan drawn. Henry Grow built it by details which he drew as he went along. The workmen was paid in script, cash and donations. I do not know what the scale of wages was. The lumber came from city crick and cotton wood canions. The stone came from Red Bute where Ft. Douglas now stands.

You want the names of workmen that worked on the Tabernacle, Joe Grow, Jim Vantarel, Rearten Write, Zack Derrigh, David Anderson, Wm. Rid, Faris Wells, Sammie Ensign, Peter Sinclair. That is all I can remember they are all dead.

Well, I hope this answers your questions. Will close, from
