Shauna Timpson Johnson is retired from the workforce. She had a variety of occupations including secretary, local transit driver, saleslady and secondary education teacher. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah. A life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served in numerous leadership positions in Relief Society, Primary, Activities Committee, and Seminary teacher. Because of her deep love and gratitude to her ancestors, she has written many of their biographies. Her Berry martyr’s article is the first article published in an academic journal. Shauna is the proud mother of one daughter, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.
