Mark L. Grover

Mark L. Grover

Mark L. Grover is an expert on Mormonism in Brazil and an author on religion in Latin America. He worked as Latin American and African studies librarian in the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University when this was written. Grover was born in Malad, Idaho, and served as a Mormon missionary in Brazil. He has a PhD in Brazilian history from Indiana University. In 2009 he received the Mormon History Association's Geraldine McBride Woodward Award for Best Publication in International Mormon History for his book A Land of Promise and Prophecy: Elder A. Theodore Tuttle in South America, 1960–1965.
