John P. Starrs graduated from BYU in 2001, where he received a BA in communications with an emphasis in broadcast production, as well as a minor in music with an emphasis in sound recording. He was awarded an Oscarson Discovery Grant, which furthered his work on his project “Artists in Zion.”
