Brother Cole grew up in Santa Monica, California. After serving a two-year mission for the LDS Church in Mexico, he returned to BYU where he earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations in 1975. He later obtained a law degree from American College of Law in 1979. For more than three decades he has practiced primarily in business litigation and commercial transactions in both California and Texas.
