Wilford Woodruff Diary[1]
Conference opened at 10 oclock Elder L. Wight Presidents J Smith & Hyram Smith & others spoke…. In the afternoon Elders Amasa Lyman & Wm Smith [2] occupied the stand in the afternoon & was followed by Joseph with a few remarks & the Conference closed.

[2] William Smith (1811-93), the Prophet's younger brother, was baptized in 1830 and was ordained as apostle in 1835.
