[1] A very pleasant morning. the people began to assemble. and by 10 oclock there was the largest congregation ever seen in Nauvoo….

Prest. J. Smith requested that the congregation would keep good order—and in the name of the constitution, continental congress & God Almighty I command the public to keep good order.
