[1] Not in Teachings. The original source for this entry is most probably the "Book of the Law of the Lord." The "Stand" was a platform upon which Church leaders sat and from which they addressed the congregation. The audience sat on benches of split logs or on the grass. This portable meeting house, normally set up in a grove, could be conveniently moved from place to place according to need and circumstance.
