Claudia L. Bushman is retired in New York City after some years of teaching American Studies at Columbia University, teaching Mormon Studies at Claremont Graduate University, and co-teaching Contemporary Mormonism with Richard Bushman back at Columbia. She is interested in women’s stories, historical housewifery, material culture, and recording the present for the future. To that end she is writing her autobiography, I, Claudia. Published works include Mormon Sisters, A Good Poor Man's Wife, Contemporary Mormonism, and In Old Virginia. A book based on the Claremont Oral History Project, Mormon Women Have Their Say, coedited with Caroline Kline, was published in 2013.
