
Donald L. Adolphson was a professor at the Romney Institute of Public Management at Brigham Young University when this was written. He has a PhD in computer science and applied mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (1973) and a BA in mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley (1966). He has won numerous teaching awards and has published extensively in applied mathematics and operations research journals. He developed and taught a course on creativity in business and is teaching business ethics courses. Current research interests are in applied Excel-based decision analysis, the interface of economics and ecology, and building a learning framework to develop visionary managers and leaders.
