Ron Romig was the site director for the Kirtland Temple Visitor's Center when this was written. Previously, he was archivist for the Community of Christ for twenty-one years, headquartered in Independence, Missouri. He administered the church’s official records and papers, in addition to its significant historical documentary collection. He has served as the president of the John Whitmer Historical Association and has been a council member of the Mormon History Association. He is currently vice-president of the Missouri Mormon Frontier Foundation. He received archival training through Drake University and earned his MA at the University of Akron.
