Dr. Shauna C. Anderson Young was a professor in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology when this was written. Anderson is efficient and knowledgeable regarding health-related fields and has a BS in clinical laboratory science. She received a year of clinical training at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo and is a certified medical laboratory scientist. She has an MS degree in medical technology from the University of Utah and a PhD in curriculum and instruction from the University of Washington. She serves as the program director of the Clinical Laboratory Science Program at BYU. Her enthusiastic teaching and contributions to her field have made her one of the best-known CLS educators in the nation.
