David C. Spendlove was a psychologist in the psychiatry and counseling services area of the Intermountain Salt Lake Clinic when this was written. He received his degrees from the University of Utah: a master's degree in social work and a doctorate in philosophy. He has held previous positions at Saint Mark’s Family Medicine in Salt Lake City.
