Mae Blanch (1928-2010) was a professor of English at Brigham Young University. She graduated from Weber High School in 1946 and BYU in 1950, where she graduated second in her class and developed a love of learning and inclination toward education that remained throughout her life. She taught English for two years at Brockbank Junior High in Magna, Utah. Mae then left for Washington DC, where she worked for two years at the Department of Agriculture, two years for Senator Dworshak from Idaho, and two years for Senator Watkins from Utah. After receiving a PhD from the University of Colorado in 1966, she was hired as a professor of English at BYU, where she remained until her retirement in 1995.
