R. Kelly Haws was serving as the assistant administrator for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when this was written. He received his associates degree from Snow College, his bachelors degree from Brigham Young University, and his masters degree from Utah State University. He began his doctorate work at the University of Utah, but received his doctorate degree in education and physics and astronomy from George Mason University.
