About the Authors

portrait of loren d marksLoren D. Marks joined the Brigham Young University School of Family Life in 2015, after thirteen years at Louisiana State University. Loren received his BS and MS degrees from BYU and his PhD from the University of Delaware. He is a codirector (with David Dollahite) of the American Families of Faith Project and coauthor of Religion and Families. Loren and his wife, Sandra, married in 1995 and are the parents of five children.

Dollahite is a professor of family life at Brigham Young University, where he teaches classes and conducts research on the links between religion and family life. He is a codirector (with Loren Marks) of the American Families of Faith Project. He obtained a bachelor's degree in family life and a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from BYU and a doctorate in family studies from the University of Minnesota. David and his wife, Mary, are the parents of seven kids. He is a coauthor of Strengths in Diverse Families of Faith.
