A graduate of Brigham Young University with a master’s and doctorate from Cornell University, Bruce W. Jorgensen has taught in Brigham Young University’s English department since 1975, where he has been assistant professor since 1978. Among his academic honors are a Danforth Graduate Fellowship and a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship. His academic emphasis on American literature and prose fiction has not narrowed his interests; he has published more than twenty stories, poems, reviews, and literary essays in Mormon periodicals.
