Elizabeth grew up in Chandler, Arizona, and attended BYU, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in mass communications. She served a mission in Chicago and is currently a doctoral student of American religious history at Claremont Graduate University, specializing in the influences of women’s cultural and religious change. Her research interests include the intersections of religion, politics, and gender. She plans on becoming a historian and sociologist of religion.
